The 2025 FIS Junior Snowboard Cross (SBX) Series came to life at Thredbo as young athletes tackled the highest SBX course ever constructed in Australia. Built at Karels, at a breathtaking 2035 metres above sea level, the 415-metre track offered a thrilling moment for the sport.

Thredbo hosts winning combination of Alpine Snowboard FUTURES and inaugural PGS

Snow Australia’s highly anticipated 2025 Alpine Snowboard FUTURES program took centre stage at Thredbo last week, bringing together emerging talent, elite coaching, and a vibrant community of snowboard racing enthusiasts. With approximately 20 athletes in attendance, the FUTURES day offered a unique opportunity for young riders to engage in high performance training alongside national-level coaches and athletes.

Freeride momentum builds as Hotham hosts World Tour kick-off

Following a successful inaugural event in 2024, the sport of freeride returns to Mount Hotham this July for the opening events of the Freeride World Tour. From 24-27 July, the Peach Bowl in Heavenly Valley will once again welcome Australia’s top junior and open freeride skiers and snowboarders for a 2-star Qualifier and Junior competitions.
