Welcome to Snow Australia. If you are new to snowsports in Australia, Snow Australia is the nationally and internationally recognised National Sporting Organisation (NSO) for competitive snowsports in Australia.
We manage athlete pathways, conducts events and programs in Alpine Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, Freestyle Skiing, Freeride, Snowboarding, SkiMo, Para-alpine, Para-snowboard and specialty sub discipline activities within each.
Snow Australia has the overarching responsibility for the entire national athlete pathway, from entry level through to elite, across all disciplines.
There are countless ways to get involved in snowsports — both on and off the snow — with opportunities designed to suit all ages, stages, and interests.
Snow Australia, together with its partners, continues to develop and refine innovative participation pathways that align with our vision of growing involvement and strengthening community engagement across competitive snowsports at every level.

SNOW SKILLS
Snow Skills builds balance, coordination and confidence through engaging, off‑snow circuits—preparing students for safe, enjoyable snow sport experiences.
The program consists of six lessons and delivers a unique, engaging experience through dynamic circuits and movement stations, each offering green, blue and black difficulty levels so students can choose the challenge that’s right for them.
There are two programs within Snow Skills for Years 5 & 6 and Years 7 & 8.
Australian Currciulum aligned resources and lesson plans provided free of charge.
LITTLE SHREDDERS
Snow Australia has two other off snow programs for primary aged school students to develop children's knowledge, physical preparedness and confidence to go to the snow and participate in Australia's coolest sport.
Sessions delivered on almost any surface or vacant space at your school using modified equipment.
Little Shredders is an off-snow product, with the sessions delivered on almost any surface or vacant space at your school using modified equipment.
Little Shredders introduces a curriculum of fun and inclusive off-snow modules, delivered in the school ground, to prepare children for an on-snow experience. These modules cover such skills as snowsport specific balance, technique, equipment and snow safe knowledge together with spatial awareness exercises in a fun team environment.
LITTLE GLIDERS
Little Gliders introduces children to Cross Country and Alpine disciplines through game-based learning with modified ski equipment. Using Nordic Rocks strap on skis, participants learn skills and techniques for cross country skiing.
The program prepares students for an on-snow experience. Children will be challenged both physically and cognitively to learn new balance, coordination, and flexibility skills as well as to understand the basic elements of snowsports safety.
NATIONAL SNOWSPORTS TRAINING CENTRE (NSTC)
The NSTC Park features a large High Performance airbag and a smaller Development airbag. It has quickly become the national centre for Park & Pipe training and attracts elite athletes from Australia and overseas. Importantly, the entire athlete pathway has access to the Park, from grassroots participants to top-tier professionals.
The JLH Building includes high-performance gym and recovery areas, a learning hub, medical and sports science facilities, coach spaces and more. It supports both winter and summer sports teams and is also open to the wider community through programs like Community Acro.

The events aim to engage the local community, promote industry pathways, and empower women to pursue their goals.
SNOW ACADEMY
The Snow Academy is Snow Australia's online education hub providing athletes, coach's, officials and members of the snowsports community with access to specialised courses and accreditations.
There is a wide range courses to support the development, education and training of new and current coaches, officials, volunteers, as well as athlete and community resources.
