Snow Australia Ltd in association with Insurance Advisernet Australia Pty Ltd (IA) has arranged access for its members to obtain various insurance coverages for clubs, athletes, coaches/officials and Snowsport supporters as well as ‘On-Snow’ and ‘Snow Sports’ activities.

Through our association with IA, Ski and Snowboard clubs, both competitive and recreational, have had access to competitive public liability insurance for a number of years. Options are also available for Australian athletes who require cover while competing internationally, coaches who operate programs, and the recreational skier, with free competition cover and optional equipment insurance.

As a Snow Australia member, you have access to exclusive member coverage and premiums which have been negotiated for your benefit:

Competition and Travel Insurance

To compete in FIS sanctioned events all competitors must have appropriate levels of insurance. Read more about the minimum requirements and options here.

Club Insurance

The National Snowsport Club Insurance Program provide general liability, management liability and professional indemnity cover for clubs at all levels.

Snowracer

Snowracer provides all registered participants and volunteers with access to Snow Australia's liability insurance and other benefits during local competitions.

Coach Insurance

Snow Australia can provide independent and private coaches with general liability and professional indemnity cover. Premiums are provided upon enquiry. Applicant's must be current members of Snow Australia and completed Level 1 Fundamentals Coach Accreditation (access the course here).

In relation to these offerings Snow Australia Ltd will act as your representative in negotiating coverage terms and premiums for the benefit of all members. Further we will act as a conduit between members and our IA Authorised Representative Anne Hartree. As part of this arrangement and at no charge to our members, we undertake to provide the following:

  • Documentation and information to members as provided by IA including; 
    • Financial Services Guide, inclusive of contact details for our Authorised Representative 
    • Policy Schedule and Tax Invoice 
    • A copy of (or access to) the relevant Product Disclosure Statement, detailing the product terms and conditions 
    • Renewal notices and 
    • If applicable cancellation and/or notice of non-renewal

We also need to advise you of our obligation to compensate you for any loss or damage if we fail to notify you of the above as required.

In providing this facility to members, Snow Australia will not receive any rebates or commissions from IA, its Authorised Representative or the insurer for arranging for the issue of insurance coverage. (We may however charge a fee to cover the administration cost to us in providing this facility.)

Snow Australia doesn’t hold an Australian Financial Services Licence and as such advises that you should consider obtaining your own financial product advice about the above product and its suitability to your individual needs from an appropriately qualified financial services advisor.
