The Women of Winter initiative aims to champion and empower Snowsports Women to reach their full potential. The program facilitates an environment of support and learning through professional development, training and networking opportunities, leading to an increase of women working and volunteering in the Snowsports Industry. This includes encouraging and supporting women in retaining employment in the industry and advancing their positions in leadership roles. Initiatives and programs include: 

  • Connecting to exchange ideas, provide opportunities and empower women to find solutions.
  • Providing ongoing professional development opportunities from within the industry along with inviting experts outside of our industry to expand members knowledge and skills.
  • Offering networking opportunities to create and maintain awareness of different areas within Snowsports.
  • Providing mentoring opportunities for women to guide and encourage professional growth.
  • Empowering, inspiring and enhancing the abilities for Snowsports Women to excel within themselves and in turn excel in their chosen field.

Who can be involved?

Women of Winter - Women in Focus aims to inspire, promote and connect women in the ski industry to encourage future female leaders. The Women in Focus series features a Woman excelling in the Snowsports industry in their chosen discipline. Presenting women in a multitude of roles including coaches, athletes, administrators, guides and industry directors.

In partnership with Falls Creek, the Women of Winter Industry Networking evening will be held in Falls Creek on Wednesday July 31 at Cloud 9, from 6.00pm-8.00pm.


Hotham Monday August 12

In partnership with Hotham, the Women of Winter Industry Networking evening will be held at Hotham on Monday August 12 at Snowbird, from 6.00pm-8.00pm.
