Snow Academy is Snow Australia's online education hub providing athletes, coach's, officials and members of the snowsports community with access to specialised courses, accreditations and certifications.

You will need to be a Snow Australia member, and have an active SnowID, to access the Snow Academy directly via your Snow Australia account. Simply login to your account here or if you are yet to renew or have not joined Snow Australia you can do so here.

There is a wide range courses to support the development, education and training of new and current coaches, officials, volunteers, as well as athlete and community resources.

1. Active SnowID

Make sure you have an active SnowID (Snow Australia Membership) for 2025/2026.

Join or Renew with Snow Australia

2. Login

Log into your Snow Australia account via the Member Login at the top of the website or via the top menu if on a mobile.

3. Access Snow Academy

Once logged in you should see the Snow Academy button. Simply click this to be taken to your Snow Academy account.

Coaches

Foundation Coach Accreditation: Introduction to Coaching + Disciple Module

Part of the Foundation Coach Accreditation, the Introduction to Coaching course is designed for snowsports instructors, current and former athletes, and other prospective winter sports coaches beginning their coaching journey.

After completing this course, learners must then complete at least one discipline fundamentals course.

Community Coach Essential Skills

Developed by the Australian Sports Commission, this course is designed to assist new, returning or current coaches to create positive, safe and inclusive environments for participants to learn, play, compete and thrive in sport.  The course is made up of 7 modules that guide coaches on how to perform their role with a modern approach.

Community Coach Masterclasses 

Developed by the Australian Sports Commission, the 7 Masterclasses extends upon topics covered in the Community Coaching Essential Skills course and guides coaches on how to apply this knowledge in their own environment by following the ASC’s Coach Development Model.

Facilitation Essential Skills

Developed by the Australian Sports Commission, the purpose of this course is to develop group facilitation skills that are learner centred and which accelerate learning.

Supporting Coaches in Practice

Developed by the Australian Sports Commission, the Supporting Coaches in Practice course is designed to equip coach developers, mentors and experienced coaches with effective observation, interpersonal and reflective feedback skills to provide on-the-job support for coaches within their club, sport or organisation. 

 

Integrity

Safeguarding Children and Young People in Sport Induction

Developed by Sport Integrity Australia, this course is designed to help you understand Safeguarding Children and Young People in your sport, including the Children and Young people Safe Practices, and how to recognise and respond to possible breaches. 

Safeguarding Recruitment and Screening

Developed by Sport Integrity Australia, this module is designed to supplement what you learned in the Safeguarding Children and Young People in Sport Induction course. 

It provides information about recruitment and screening rules and recommendations that will help you implement a fair, consistent and comprehensive process to engage personnel across your sport, and to reduce the likelihood that you employ someone who could pose a risk of harm children and young people.

 

Athletes

Performance Psychology Mindset Level-Up Program

The OWIA and Snow Australia Performance Psychology Mindset Level Up Program modules build on Fundamental Sport Psychology.

There 5 modules within the program cover topics Intensity Regulation, Concentration, Confidence, Motivation and Mindset, and Self-Regulation

Each modue takes 20-30 minutes to complete, plus optional comprehensive summary videos that build your knowledge of the topic and provide examples of practical tools to use and takeaways for your toolbox to achieve peak performance.

Sport Science Mini Modules

These mini modules take 15 minuts to complete and provide an introduction to sport science topics. Including:

  • Nutrition
  • Performance psychology
  • Performance recovery
  • Physical conditioning

Interschools Officials Training Course

This course provides entry-level officials the critical information to be an effective Interschools official.The course, suitable for school coordinators, officials, and coaches, includes additional information about the Interschools Championships to allow learners to better understand the rules, role, and management of the event.

 

Alpine Level 1 Officials Course 

The course is suitable to be undertaken by those involved in Club Races, Snow Australia Children’s Carnival, FIS Races, and Australia New Zealand Cup (ANC). This course is the first step in your introduction to the fascinating and rewarding role of the Alpine Official.

Community Officiating Essential Skills Course

Developed by the Australian Sports Commission, this course provides a modern approach to officials' education, focusing on creating positive sporting environments for everyone involved.

This course provides entry-level officials the critical information to be an effective Interschools official.The course, suitable for school coordinators, officials, and coaches, includes additional information about the Interschools Championships to allow learners to better understand the rules, role, and management of the event.

FIS Points for Alpine and Ski Cross Course

This course an interactive way to help with your understanding of the FIS Points system. This course is recommended for first-year FIS athletes and their supporters. It is suitable to be taken by athletes, parents, and coaches. The FIS points system can often be quite confusing and daunting to understand for parents and competitors as they get ready to enter their first year of FIS competition.

This 8 part video ski and snowboard fitness program aimed at individuals of all ages and abilities.
