The role of Snow Australia is to be innovative and progressive in developing systems and partnerships to foster athlete development throughout the snowsports pathway.

Effective pathway management and support of the various program providers is essential in ensuring consistency and security of athlete performances and development into the future. One element of the club and program recognition strategy has been the implementation of the Australian Sport Commission’s tool, Game Plan.

The Snow Australia Athlete Pathway relies on a variety of different sport program providers to operate programs across the pathway. 

These include a mix of institute providers, resorts, clubs, schools and commercial operators. Below are Snow Australia's Recognised Pathway Clubs and Program Providers for 2024. These Clubs and Programs operate in Australia and/or internationally and have met Snow Australia's standards. 

 

Recognised Club/Program Initiatives

Snow Australia and our Recognised Clubs/Programs will work to deliver on the following initiatives: 

  • National Athlete pathway system (FTEM)  
  • ASC Game Plan implementation and review 
  • How to develop skills within the Club environment  
  • How to identify and verify athlete talent within Clubs (and developing a ‘Club watch-list’)  
  • Update on Coach education, accreditation, and the Snow Australia Coach Academy  
  • Performance planning which provided:  
  • How to develop a Club Toolkit  
    • Covered the Snow Australia /Club performance plan  
    • How to develop Club Individual Performance Plan  
    • Developing Program Plans (season and daily training environments (DTE)  
    • Skills Assessment  
    • Physical profiling  
    • Physical preparation
