Australia’s para snowboarders opened their World Cup campaign in Landgraaf with strong early results, highlighted by Ben Tudhope’s 4th place on day one in the technical banked slalom. The team continued to build momentum on day two, where Aaron McCarthy achieved his first-ever World Cup top-10 finish, marking a significant milestone in his progression.

In freeski, Daisy Thomas continued her strong form after qualifying in 2nd place and, despite sustaining an injury on her second jump in the final which prevented her from completing the competition, still recorded a top-10 finish in the women’s event.
The men’s fields delivered solid performances across both snowboard and freeski, highlighted by Joshua Robertson-Hahn’s 20th in snowboard big air.
Alpine Skiing - Copper Mountain, USA 27-30 Nov
Australia’s alpine athletes delivered a strong start to the season, led by Louis Muhlen-Schulte who placed 34th in the Copper Mountain World Cup giant slalom, narrowly missing the second run by just 0.14 seconds.
Harry Laidlaw and Sophie Mahon also claimed standout victories, with Laidlaw winning the GS in Italy in his first race back from injury, while Mahon secured back-to-back slalom wins in Valle Di Casies. Across the circuit, emerging Aussies delivered promising early-season form, highlighted by multiple PBs from Madison Gilson, Archie Gould, Sebastian Atra and Jack Hoffman.
Cross Country - Ruka, Finland 28-30 Nov
Australia kicked off the Cross Country World Cup season in Ruka with a strong contingent gaining valuable early-season experience.
The weekend’s standout performances came in the 20km Freestyle, with Rosie Fordham finishing 35th and Phoebe Cridland46th out of 74, both in contention for the top 30 for much of the race.
