SnowSale returns to Jindabyne with another great event

With almost 150 individual sellers lodging items into the sale and more than 1,700 pieces of ski and snowboard equipment sold over two days, the return of SnowSale to Jindabyne was a great success.

Snow Australia Cathy Lambert, who coordinated event operations, said the feedback from the snow community was positive and everybody was glad to see the SnowSale back after COVID-19 forced organisers to cancel last year's edition.

"It was fantastic to see crowds coming back to the SnowSale again," Lambert said.

"Everybody is very excited for the upcoming domestic season and we had a great response from all participants, which highlights the importance of creating opportunities for the snow community to connect, also through events like SnowSale."

Lambert explained that sales commissions from SnowSale will go towards maintenance and upgrades to the Action Sports Training facility at Jindabyne Sport and Recreation Centre.

"Our goal was to pick up on the long-standing efforts of the Berchtold Family and continue the tradition of running the event as a fundraiser for the maintenance and upgrades to the Action Sport Training facility in Jindabyne, which is now run by Snow Australia," she said.

Lambert also highlighted how volunteers played an important role in supporting the organisers and ensure the event could run smoothly.

"We really owe a big thank you to all the amazing volunteers who helped us and gave up their time to make the SnowSale a success,” she said.
