Cross Country Season Kicks Off: Events Registrations Open

After a slow start to the season, race organisers are gearing up for a big stretch of cross country action across July and August, with State and National Championship titles on the line at Perisher and Falls Creek, plus a strong line-up of club events for skiers of all levels.

The busy event period will kick off with the ACT Sprint Championship at Perisher, all building towards the AUS Open Sprint Championship and AUS Open 15km Championship in Falls Creek on the first weekend in August.

Online entries are already open for the following championship events:

2026 State & National Championship Events

• 18 July -ACT Sprint Championship @ Perisher

• 19 July -NSW Distance Championship @ Perisher

• 25 July - Vic Junior/U23 Sprint Championship @ Falls Creek

• 26 July -Vic Junior/U23 Distance Championship @ Falls Creek

• 1 August -AUS Open Sprint Championship @ Falls Creek

• 2 August -AUS Open 15km Championship @ Falls Creek

Keep an eye out soon for the registration for the second weekend of Australian Championship events, the Australian Open, Masters and Junior Championships at Perisher on August 22/23.
