Snow Australia Coach Academy
Entering its fourth year, the Coach Academy continues supporting the development of our coaches into the future.
Along with continued delivery of key elements central to the Academy so far (Live Lab, online Gold Medal Coach sessions, Discipline Huddles, etc.), in 2024, the Coach Academy will focus on three new areas in service of expanding the capacity for our emerging coach talent to progress up the performance pathway – while upskilling club coaches across all disciplines:
1. Expanded Connection with Athletes and Clubs
- ETP / Coach Academy Camp integration
- Club engagement with on-mountain Coach Academy forums
2. Bespoke Experiential / Immersive Learning
- CoThach & Athlete mentoring in the field of play
- High-Performance Coach Shadow & Mentoring opportunities
3. Tailored Discipline-specific focus and development
- Discipline Huddles with HP Coaches – Technical & non-technical
- Individual Coach Development Plan (ICDP) creation, coach skill Profiling and 1:1 mentorship for pathway coaches

2024-25 Coach Academy Eligibility Prerequisites:
- Coach Membership or similar financial membership of Snow Australia
- Current Snow Australia Coach Accreditation (Level 1 or equivalent)
- Working for a Snow Australia Recognised pathway club or program
- Working with Nationally Categorised Athletes or current Emerging Talent Athletes (ETP) in your respective discipline
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Up to date on all relevant Snow Australia Integrity Education Plan courses
