Perisher Winter Sports ClubPerisher’s Winter Sports Club (PWSC) conducts a variety of season long programs specially designed for enthusiasts to develop and progress their snow riding skills. Some of the biggest names in Winter Sports such as Russell Henshaw, Nicole Parks, Zali Steggall, Craig Branch and Sami Kennedy-Sim kicked off their careers with our Winter Sports Club before going on to compete at International World Cup Events and Olympic Games. Perisher’s first class facilities include Australia’s only Halfpipes, Australia's award winning Terrain Parks, Toppa’s Dream Mogul slope and an Olympic inspired Rider Cross course, so you’ll be sure to see some professional athletes’ training with us throughout the season. With access to over 1245 hectares ranging across four resort areas, our athletes receive training in a variety of disciplines on varied terrain, allowing for a higher level of comfort on any mountain and in any condition. Thredbo Ski Racing Club (TSRC)Alpine and Ski Cross recognise Pathway Program Since its inception in 1972, Thredbo Ski Racing Club has been one of Australia’s premier alpine ski racing clubs. The primary goal of TSRC is to provide a safe, enjoyable, yet challenging ski racing environment for its athletes, and to assist each athlete to maximize his or her potential in the sport. TSRC caters for all various ages of racing athletes, facilitating development from young eager competent ski racers to the highest-level racers in the country. Training as a member of the TSRC “community” offers unparalleled opportunities for an athlete to develop his or her skiing skills while enjoying friendships within the skiing fraternity. TSRC provides younger athletes with support, advice and inspiration from older athletes, and older athletes the opportunity to train and compete with other advanced racers. This is integral for athletes to develop and improve their skiing ability while also encouraging emotional maturity and independence. The training programmes are supervised by the TSRC Head Coach Craig Branch and his team of experienced coaches.. |

Mt Hotham Racing Squad (MHRS)Alpine and Ski Cross recognise Pathway Program Since 1972, Mount Hotham Racing Squad (MHRS - a not for profit society) has been focused on the development of alpine ski racing and ski cross. Our programs are designed to consistently develop the key athletic, mental, personal management and sport specific skills required for athletic success and personal growth. Falls Creek Race Club (FCRC)Alpine and Ski Cross recognise Pathway Program Its aim is to promote all the skills of skiing and snowboarding and to improve the safety and enjoyment of the sport for all age groups. As an athlete’s skills improve so they can begin to train and race at Children's level races and move on to Junior and Senior levels, possibly aspiring to the Masters Circuit or State and National Teams. Hundreds of children have been involved over the past four decades and the program has produced a number of skiers who have been successful at national and international levels. Most importantly, the children involved in the program have made new friends, improved their skiing skills, and learned to enjoy and respect our mountain environment. Falls Creek has produced Olympians Ross and Malcolm Milne, Joanne Henke, Jenny Altermatt, Steven Lee in Alpine skiing. Dick Walpole and Chris Heberle in Cross Country skiing. Britteny Cox, Paul and Adrian Costa in Freestyle Moguls. Many others have represented in National Teams including Michael Clarke (World Junior Mogul Champion), Tom Costa, Lisa Spargo, Megan and Tim Scott. |

Mt Buller Race Club (MBRC)The Mt Buller Race Club (MBRC) was formed in 1987 to provide young ski racers with the opportunity to train in a specialised program at Mt Buller. Today, we provide a broad range of quality programs and opportunities for skiers and snowboarders in alpine racing, boardercross and skiercross as well as a master’s program. MBRC is an independent, non-profit organisation incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act and fully aligns itself with Snow Australia and the athlete pathway and works extremely closely with its stakeholders, Buller Ski lifts and the Mt Buller Mt Stirling Resort Management Board. Our Vision to be “The best ski and snowboard club in the nation '' is supported by an elected committee and a full-time Program Director, Administration Manager and Head Ski Cross Coach with a seasonally employed Head Snowboard coach and coaching team. MBRC offers programs during the Australian and northern hemisphere winter and spring seasons as well as physical training in the offseason. During the Australian season, athletes have the opportunity to participate in weekend and full-time race training programs for skiers and snowboarders starting in the Victorian July school holidays and concluding at the end of Term 3 school holidays in September along with other additional training opportunities outside of the regular programs. Weekend athletes train during the two weeks of the July school holidays, and on each weekend during Term 3. Full-time athletes live at Mt Buller during Term 3, train during the July school holidays, and for six days per week during Term 3. MBRC, with the support of the Race and events department, hosts club races at Mt Buller and also participates in state and national level ski and snowboard races including interschools and Snow Australia sanctioned races. MBRC forms a crucial part of the athlete pathway in the disciplines of alpine skiing and snowboarding. Many of Australia's top winter sports athletes have developed their skills at Mt Buller Race Club and our recent honour board includes the following; Snowboard Cross - Belle Brockhoff, Emily Boyce, Mia Clift, Steph Hickey, Molly Fernandez, Cam Bolton, Alex “Chumpy” Pullin Alpine Skiing/Ski Cross - Katya Crema, Emily Bamford, Katie Parker, Jessica Haslau, Joelle Chevalier, Anton Grimus, Mike Rishworth, Luc Chevalier and Doug Crawford Ski Slopestyle - Anna Segal |

Thredbo Mountain AcademyThredbo Mountain Academy is a specifically designed seasonal program for athletes aged from 10 years on. Mountain Academy has worked extensively with Ski and Snowboard Australia to become a key partner and pathway provider to ensure the continued growth and success of future Australian winter sports athletes. Mountain Academy is designed for the athlete that is looking for that link in their developmental pathway that will take them to the highest level of their chosen sport nationally and internationally. Over the course of the 12 week program, Mountain Academy participants will train, compete and progress to become well rounded, consistent, excited and ambitious athletes in their discipline. Mountain Academy programs have the BEST coaches that have decades of experience at the highest international level. They include Olympians, World Champions, current and past athletes and coaches with the highest internationally recognised accreditations to their name. With the likes of Ryan Tiene, Enzo Scotto, Marguerite Cossetini and Jono Brauer amongst many others, Mountain Academy is equipped to succeed. Mountain Academy programs are designed to focus on the fundamental development of the athlete to ensure that they have the core skills required that will see them rocket to the top of their sport. Whilst we work hard on and off snow to create the best athletes possible we firmly believe that to achieve your dreams takes passion, and to be passionate we must have FUN. Fun, amongst others, is a core principle in the success of Mountain Academy. |
