SPORT PREVIEW: Aussies out in force in huge weekend of World Cups

With just two more weekends to go before Australia’s Olympic Team for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games is locked in, the pace is ramping up for Olympic hopefuls. Here’s what to watch this weekend, with streaming and results available live via Snow Live on the Snow Australia website.
A full Aussie lineup is set to hit the Aspen (USA) World Cup, where both Slopestyle and Halfpipe are on the program. Eleven Australians are expected to compete, headlined by recent World Cup winners Indra Brown in Ski Halfpipe and Valentino Guseli, who will take on both Snowboard Halfpipe and Slopestyle.
Greta Small returns to the start gate at the Zaunchensee (AUT) World Cup, competing in the women’s Downhill and Super-G, while Hugh McAdam lines up in the Slalom at the Adelboden (SUI) World Cup on 11 January.
In moguls, Olympic champion Jakara Anthony and Olympic silver medallist Matt Graham lead a seven-strong Australian squad into the Val St. Come (CAN) World Cup. Both athletes are coming off victories in Ruka (FIN) and will be looking to continue their winning form as the Olympic countdown intensifies.
Millie Bongiorno and Harvey Edmanson are also back in action, competing at the Scuol (SUI) World Cup.
Fresh from her gold medal performance in Lac-Beauport (CAN), Laura Peel and the Flying Kangaroos head to Lake Placid (USA)for a double World Cup event beginning 11 January, the final Olympic qualification competition in aerial skiing.
Looking ahead to next week, Josh Hanlon will take on the Saalbach (AUT) World Cup from 13–17 January.
