Greta hoping to unlock her zen moment

Greta Small will be hitting the slopes on the Yanqing National Alpine Skiing Centre speed course for the women's super-g.

When Greta asked about her favourite part of the sport, she confirmed it was the challenge that lies ahead of her.

"I love the adrenaline. I love competing and I love that feeling of trying to put the best run down you can and coming down through the finish," Greta said.

"When you're actually having your best run, everything slows down and everything becomes really easy and natural. It's that sort of zen moment, where your body and mind and everything comes together."

Greta will need to channel that adrenaline to get that zen moment to tackle the course, as the super-g event is described as one of the fastest and daring events held at the Winter Olympics. She will be looking to improve on her result from PyeongChang 2018 when she placed 31st.

Competitors will be hoping for very little wind, cool temperatures and hard packed snow to prevent the course from becoming uneven in lower sections of the run.

Watch Greta in action from 2pm AEDT on Friday 11 on Channel 7 and 7plus.
