Six Australians will be in action on day five of the Olympic Winter Games in Beijing, with Belle Brockhoff and Scotty James on show.

Snowboard - Cross

Belle Brockhoff and Josie Baff are set to compete in the women's snowboard cross qualifying, buoyed by the bronze medal success of snowboard teammate Tess Coady in the women's slopestyle.

Athletes that make it through qualifying in the afternoon will have short turnaround for the night final.

Snowboard - Halfpipe

Snowboard halfpipe, one of the events which holds great anticipation at the Winter Games, gets underway with qualification for the men and women.

That means we'll see Olympic veteran Scotty James, competing at his fourth Olympic Games, and 16-year-old compatriot Valentino Guseli in the men's event.

Emily Arthur is our sole competitor in the women's competition, which is the event Torah Bright claimed gold in at Vancouver 2010 and silver at Sochi 2014.

Alpine Skiing - Slalom

Australian alpine skier Katie Parker is free to make her Olympic debut after consecutive PCR test results came in negative overnight.

Katie will compete in the Women's Slalom with the first runs starting at 11.50am Beijing time and a second run this afternoon at 3.40pm.
