Coady qualifies in third place for World Championships slopestyle final

NSWIS snowboarder Tess Coady has made a great start to her World Championship campaign in Aspen, USA, qualifying for the slopestyle final in third place.
Coady put down two strong qualifying runs, scoring 85.50 points in the first round, and then stepped it up in the second run to increase her score to 89.75 points, comfortably advancing to the eight woman final in in third place.
The women's slopestyle final will take place on March 12, with the livestream available on www.snow.org.au/live from 3.30am on the 13 March.
Coady's NSWIS teammate Matt Cox placed 17th in his heat, missing out on the top eight required to reach the men's final.
Cox will be back in action in Aspen competing in the World Championship Big Air event on March 16, with Coady also to compete after the slopestyle final.
