Coach Academy to commence application process for 2022 intake

The Snow Australia Coach Academy is a pioneering coach-development program designed to match Snow Australia’s ‘world’s best’ vision with a coach skill progression pathway aimed at developing high-potential Australian winter sport coaches and fortifying the future of Australian snow sport performance globally.

Launched in 2019 and developed intensively over 2020-21, the Coach Academy now looks forward into the next Olympic quad, expanding into a 4-year program which parallels key development priorities and progression themes of the Olympic cycle.

The intake for the 2022 program will require coaches to apply for a spot on the Coach Academy (even if they have previously been a member).

Applications will open Friday March 25 through an online application. More information on the application process will be published in the Snow Australia eNews on March 25.

Planning for the Coach Academy 2022 curriculum is well underway and will include a combination of in-person live labs, monthly live-remote workshops, pod-group working sessions and ‘Gold Medal Coach” forums, combined with short module video lessons, the Coach Academy podcast and tactical homework coach challenges (on and off the snow). All virtual sessions are captured and streamed through our online learning platform, the Snow Academy, giving remote access to all key lessons and sessions throughout the year.
