Snow Australia Alpine Director, Shawn Fleming, said: "We are excited for the athletes and hope the opportunity to represent Australia in a strong international field is one they will enjoy and can use the experience to further their future development. As part of their selection, the National Alpine Committee will be implementing techniques, such as goal setting and self-reflection, that will play an important role in improving their training and competition strategies."
Fleming said the National Alpine Committee would be working directly with the young athletes to implement key techniques to improve training and competition strategy and outcomes. Off snow techniques such as goal setting and self-reflection that improve an athlete’s training, competition strategy and outcomes, will be a strong focus during this competition as part of the athlete development.
