Alpine Snowboard - 2025/26 Season Wrap

Published Tue 07 Apr 2026

Australia’s alpine snowboard program continued to build across the 2025/26 season, with consistent international racing exposure spanning World Cup, European Cup, Nor-Am Cup and FIS races.

Representing Australia on the World Cup circuit were Harvey Edmanson and Millie Bongiorno, each contesting full campaigns against the world’s best and continuing to be competitive at the highest level.

Edmanson competed in 17 World Cup events across the season, producing the strongest results of his career, including top-30 finishes in Krynica, Poland and Simonhöhe, Austria. He complemented his World Cup campaign with some European Cup racing, recording two top-10 finishes in parallel giant slalom: placing seventh in Lenzerheide and eighth in Ratschings.

Bongiorno raced 16 World Cup events with her strongest result coming in Krynica where she placed 28th in parallel giant slalom, the fifth-best result over the course of her career in that discipline. Finishing the season with a career total of 74 World Cup starts, the 28-year-old also found strong form across the Nor-Am Cup circuit with four second-place finishes in as many events resulting in fifth place overall. She also added two top-10 European Cup results in Białka Tatrzańska, underlining her ability to be competitive across multiple levels of international competition.

The pair combined for top-20 results in the mixed team events in Simonhöhe and Winterberg, a glimpse of their combined potential when given further opportunities in the team format.

At the next level, Mia Chawner continued to build her international experience on the Nor-Am Cup circuit, competing in 10 events and recording a best result of eighth in parallel giant slalom at Steamboat Springs. The 22-year-old finished a career-best 17th overall in the standings, continuing her progression since representing Australia at the Junior World Championships in 2023.

Georgia Brose added further European Cup experience, competing in three events during the season in addition to racing extensively on the FIS circuit in Italy. Her best European Cup result was 35th in parallel giant slalom at Folgaria, while she also recorded a 10th place finish in parallel slalom at a FIS event at Val Gardena.

Angus Lindgren stepped onto the Nor-Am Cup circuit for the first time, producing a best result of seventh at Val Saint-Côme. The 16-year-old from Jindabyne spent the northern winter based in Canada.

Gracie Byron, along with twins Mitch and Alex Frost - all members of Snow Australia’s Emerging Talent Program in snowboard cross - also gained valuable alpine racing experience on the Nor-Am circuit. Alex Frost recorded a best result of eighth at Steamboat Springs, while the group’s participation reflects the increasing crossover between snowboard cross and alpine snowboard at the development level.

With many alpine snowboard athletes beginning their careers in snowboard cross, this crossover pathway remains an important part of the program’s long-term development, offering flexibility as athletes refine their strengths across disciplines.
