2022 Rollerski Race Season Set To Begin

March and April are set to be busy months for the Cross Country Community with Rollerski Events happening across Canberra, Sydney and Wodonga. With many events scheduled for the next two months, now is the time to prepare for the much anticipated upcoming southern season.
On the weekend of Saturday 26/27 March, Telemark Nordic Ski Club and Snow Australia bring you three events in and around Wodonga. The Come & Try Biathlon and Rollerski Barrel Time Trial Event take place at the SSAA range in Barnawartha Nth on Saturday, then on Sunday there's a Rollerski Distance Event held at the Army Museum in Bandiana. This a great opportunity for those interested in trying Biathlon and for spectators to gather in support of the XC community. For further information and registration details, please see HERE.
On Sunday the 27th of March the NSWACT XC Rollerski Challenge in Canberra will take place. The first event of the season held in the Nation's Capital is expected to be an exciting opportunity for athletes to prepare for the upcoming southern season. Fresh from the 2022 World Junior & U23 Championships in Norway, NSWACT XC Head Coach Alexei Sotskov will be leading a Come & Try Session and rollerski training at Lane Cove in Sydney on Sunday April 3. Featuring NSWACT XC athletes and coaches and hosting a BBQ Breakfast after the event, this is a great opportunity for anyone new to the sport or XC community. The 2022 FIS Australian Rollerski Championship will take place at Stromlo Forest Park in Canberra on Saturday 9th and 10th of April. This is the first FIS race of the year in Australia and will see many of the Australian athletes that competed at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Lygna 2022 World Junior/U23 Championships in action.
