CHILD SAFETY COMMITMENT

Biathlon Australia (BA) seeks to provide quality sports coaching for participants in a welcoming and safe environment and foster positive learning and skill development.

BA is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children attending and that they are treated with respect and understanding at all times.

Everyone participating in a BA program, including staff, participants, children and parents must adhere to BA’s Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy so that BA can provide a safe and supportive environment for all.

BEHAVIOURS AND RESPECT

To ensure that all attending a BA event can enjoy the relevant event and improve their skills, BA has policies in place to foster the right kind of attitude and behaviours. This goes hand in hand with the life lessons that playing sport teach us.

All attending the event must treat other participants, staff and coaches with kindness and respect, and adhere to BA’s Code of Conduct.

LIABILITY DISCLAIMER

Parents and guardians expressly authorise BA staff to act according to their best judgement, in any emergency requiring medical attention for their children. To the extent permitted by law parents and guardians expressly release BA and its staff from any and all liability for any injury, illness, damage or loss incurred or suffered by a participant whilst at, or participating in, the event.
