2024-2025 Victorian XC Ski Team

The Victorian Cross Country Ski Team provides coaching, training opportunities and support for Victorian junior athletes. 

2024-2025 Program Inclusions

• General coaching and training advice.
• Ability to participate in training sessions, training camps, and other activities
• Coaching and waxing support at designated events (see below).
• Ability to purchase team uniforms, including T-shirts, Hoodies and Race/Warm-Up clothing

Team Fee

• $150 (including GST)

Additional fees will apply for camps and additional coaching (e.g. training plans, weekly and weekend on-snow coaching, see below).

Pre-Requisites

Members of the Victorian XC Ski Team must also be financial members of Snow Australia. You will need to be a current member before registering for the VICXC Ski Team. The minimum level is the Cross Country Sport Racer membership, which allows entry into all state and national championship events, as well as other AUSXC development activities.

Upcoming 2024 Training Camps

• May 18-19 - VIC XC Team Weekend Camp @ Mt Beauty
  - including Mt Beauty Running Festival
• July 6-14 (TBC) - VIC XC Team On-Snow Camp @ Falls Creek

Registration for both these camps will be open during May.

Coaching and waxing support will be provided at the following events this winter:

• Saturday 20th July: Victorian Junior Championships - Sprint F @ Falls Creek
• Sunday 21st July: Victorian Junior Championships - Distance C @ Falls Creek
• Saturday 27th July: Australian Open Championships - Sprint C @ Falls Creek
• Sunday 28th July: Australian Open Championships - 15km F @ Falls Creek
• Saturday 17th August: Australian Open Championships - Sprint F @ Perisher
• Sunday 18th August: Australian Open Championships - 10km C @ Perisher
• Saturday 31st August: Australian Junior Championships - Sprint C @ Falls Creek
• Sunday 1st September: Australian Junior Championships - Distance F @ Falls Creek

Additional Coaching Services

Further details of the 2024 VICXC Winter Program are currently being confirmed by the VIC XC Committee. The intention is that the following will be available in partnership with the AUSXC National Training Centre at Falls Creek:

• Regular weekend on-snow group training
• Mid-week group training sessions
• Technique analysis and development
