Snow Australia is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitable individuals willing to be appointed to the NSWACT XC committee. The committee membership will ideally work toward forming an Advisory Group that can provide independent and objective leadership.
The composition of NSWACT XC reflects the activities required to facilitate and grow the sport of Cross Country Skiing in NSW and ACT. The principal activities of the Committee are:
- Fostering the athlete pathway,
- Event management,
- Media and marketing,
- Infrastructure management, maintenance, and development; and
- Supporting and implementing the Strategic Plan of Snow Australia.
Increased participation outcomes in all areas of NSWACT XC activity are key goals for the XC Committee. Key skill areas that the Committee is looking to fulfill from applicants include:
- Connections with the competitive sport sector,
- Administration and finance,
- Media and marketing,
- Infrastructure maintenance and management.
- Familiarity with the sport of Cross Country Skiing (competitive and recreational).
Existing members are welcome to apply should they wish to have an opportunity to retain membership of the Committee.
