Falls Creek Race Club (FCRC)

Falls Creek Race Club has been established for over 40 years. The home of Snow Australia Medallists Malcom Milne, Steve Lee and Britteny Cox (just to name a few), FCRC has a rich history in winter sports. FCRC is driven by a motivated network of Falls Creek locals, servicing members not only across Victoria, but nationwide. The club’s aim is to promote skiing and snowboarding and to improve the safety and enjoyment of the sport for all age groups.

FCRC members participate in training and competitions across the participation and performance pathways. The club operates in F2-F3 of the Snow Australia FTEM framework and welcomes new members of any level. The clubhouse is located at the base of the Gully Chair, offering ski tuning facilities, gym and hosts some participants of ‘The Academy’, an educational support centre for school aged members.

FCRC’s programs are operated by Falls Creek Ski Resort as part of their Winter Sports Program.  Their programs focus on developing alpine ski and snowboard racing skills, ski and snowboard freeride skills through the following programs:

  • Development Club
  • Alpine and Freeride Club (6-17 years)
  • Masters (18+)
  • Holiday Program

FCRC encourages athletes to compete in various levels, including local events, Snow Australia Interschools, Snow Australia Children’s Championships and FIS events.

FCRC has a strong community feel and enjoys bringing people together who have a passion for winter sports. There is a positive social side to the club, with various events and club fundraising initiatives, including club scholarships to encourage Snowsports engagement for Northeast Victorian athletes.

FCRC has a strong relationship with Falls Creek Ski Lifts who provide a great variety of terrain for training across all disciplines. From roped off Alpine, Moguls and Snowboard hill space, as well as Terrain Park access and Big Mountain terrain. The resort engages a mix of highly motivated International and Australian coaches and encourages it’s coaches to engage with professional development opportunities such as the Snow Australia Coach Academy.
