Ever wondered what goes into the training of a triple Olympian?
Adam Lambert, a three-time winter Olympian in Snowboard Cross (SBX), has shared a glimpse into one of his ongoing strength and conditioning (SnC) sessions at the National Snowsports Training Centre (NSTC).
Strength and conditioning serves as an essential component of an athlete's training program, playing a key role in both injury prevention and rehabilitation.
For Snowboard Cross athletes in particular, off-snow strength and conditioning training enhances balance control and improves core strength. Furthermore, it aids in developing explosive power, speed, and endurance, while also conditioning the body to minimise fatigue.
