Update August 11 - 2021 Mogul Ski World Victorian Interschools Snowsport Championships

The current season has provided many challenges for the Australian Snow Industry and the Interschools community alike.

Snow Australia Interschools and Mt Buller continue to review the directives from the Victorian Governments, on the regulations regarding Interschools activities and events. 

With today’s announcement that the current lockdown for metro Melbourne is to be extended until at Thursday 18th August, it is clear that it is no longer possible to provide certainty to school and resort communities regarding the conduct of the 2021 Mogul Ski World Victorian Interschools event scheduled for August 23-29. Accordingly, it is with significant disappointment that we confirm that the Victorian Interschools event will not proceed on the August 23-29 dates.

Snow Australia Interschools will now consult with the school community about the option to reschedule the 2021 Mogul Ski World Victorian Interschools event to the dates originally scheduled for the Australian Interschool Championships at Mt.Buller from September 8-12.

This will be done by way of survey to school’s snowsports coordinators, to be sent out shortly, with a decision that will consider the feedback from the broader interschool community.

Information regarding refunds for entries and lift tickets will be available shortly once a decision on the format and nature of any rescheduled event is confirmed. Schools, families and student athletes unable to attend a rescheduled event will be entitled to a refund regardless of whether the event goes ahead or not.
