Provisional 2023-2024 XC Team Selection

The provisional Cross Country Skiing National Teams for 2023-2024 have been released by the Snow Australia Cross Country Skiing Selection Committee. Twenty-five athletes are included in the provisional list, including six Winter Olympians and five Junior athletes who will be invited to join the team for the first time.

The Selection Committee would also like to note that an additional ten athletes who have not strictly met the performance criteria are being considered for discretionary selection. All athletes will be invited to submit Individual Performance Plans and goals for the 2023-2024 season, before the final National Team athletes will be confirmed in October.

Athletes on this ranking list are in order of their best 3 of 4 results (percentage behind the winner) in designated selection races during the Australian winter. Please note that this is not a YOG nomination list. These rankings constitute one of the factors that will be taken into consideration by the Snow Australia Selection Panel when recommending athletes to nomination to the Australian Olympic Committee. The full criteria and timeline for YOG nominations are set out in the Gangwon 2024 Nomination and Selection Criteria, noting that the quota allocation will not be finalised until December 2023.
