Five athletes across Alpine Skiing and Ski Cross will make their Snow Australia National Alpine Team (NAST) debut for the 2026/27 season.

Leading the group of NAST debutants is Ski Cross athlete Dakota Turner, a 2024 Winter Youth Olympian.

Joining the ranks are World Junior Championships representatives Madison Gilson and Ellie Coomber, alongside newly called-up athletes Archie Gould and Tana Dixon.

The quintet will join the 13 returning NAST veterans, most notably 2026 Winter Olympians Madison Hoffman, Phoebe Heaydon and Kyra Wheatley.

Snow Australia Alpine and Ski Cross Director Shawn Fleming said:This year we have 4 new alpine athletes and one ski cross athlete who have qualified for the National Team.

“Along with a strong group of experienced athletes I think we have a very good mix and great to see the older athletes raising the bar and pushing the younger ones, they are setting the standard for what is expected.

“It’s also very rewarding to see 3 of the athletes moving up from Emerging Talent Program (ETP) into the National Team, it is reinforcement that the standard for ETP and where it is placed in the pathway is working and we are now seeing the proof of that,” he said.

Snow Australia would like to congratulate the 18 athletes who have been selected as part of the National Alpine Ski Team (NAST) for the 2026/27 season.
