Snow Australia recently hosted three action-packed days of Alpine racing at Perisher, with the National Championships delivering high-calibre competition across Slalom and Giant Slalom disciplines.
Also incorporating the National Junior Championships, the event offered up and coming athletes another chance to compete at a FIS sanctioned event right here in Australia.
Competition across the event was fierce as athletes battled it out for podium positions with notable performances in the women’s races coming from Madison Gilson, Tiffany Gorman and Olivia Lombardi, while in the men’s events River Lusted, Owen Clarke and Harrison Ogilvy were among the standouts.
Meanwhile, National Team athletes Hugh McAdam and Phoebe Heaydon (pictured below) claimed the men’s and women’s ANC Slalom titles at Coronet Peak in New Zealand, with Heaydon securing third place podium finishes in both Slalom races.
