Lou Barrett steps down from Snow Australia Board

Published Fri 30 Oct 2026

Snow Australia Board Member Lou Barrett will step down from her role at the end of the month, after nearly a decade of service to the organisation.

Barrett joined the board in 2016 ahead of a period of major change for Snow Australia, helping guide the unification process and oversee strong progress both on and off the snow.

An experienced media leader, Barrett’s expertise in marketing, communications and the broader business world has been critical in helping raise the profile of Snow Australia in the Australian sporting landscape.

Snow Australia Chair Daniel Bosco thanked Barrett for her service and praised her for the impact she has had in her time as a director.

"In a decade on the Snow Australia Board, Lou has opened doors for our athletes, helping them tell their stories and gain the exposure they deserve, and she has been a tireless champion for women in sport,” he said.

“On behalf of the Board and the whole snow sports community, I thank Lou for her contribution and wish her every success in what comes next.

“Lou's departure follows the Board's planned rotation of directors, part of our commitment to good governance."

Lou’s tenure will conclude on October 31 2026.
