Published Fri 05 Sep 2025
Following a series of impactful Women of Winter Networking events across the snow season, the final event for 2025 was held on Wednesday at Mt Buller, rounding off the season with strong energy and meaningful conversations.
Hosted by Mt Buller and coinciding with the Australian Interschools Championships, the event welcomed a wide cross-section of the snow industry - including school coordinators, coaches, support staff, and local snow professionals.
With a focus on community-building and raising awareness about the wide range of career paths in the snow industry, the evening featured a panel discussion. Rhylla Morgan and Caroline Brauer hosted the evening, guiding an insightful conversation with four inspiring women who shared their career journeys, challenges, and motivations:
- Lucy Blyton Gray – General Manager, Charlotte Pass Resort
- Lesa Brown – General Manager, Mt Buller Race Club
- Sue George – Manager, Mt Buller Ski & Snowboard School
- Michelle Stevenson – National Alpine Museum of Australia
The stories shared by the panel sparked thoughtful discussion among attendees and served as a reminder of the strength and diversity of women working across all corners of the snow industry.
With this final gathering, the 2025 Women of Winter networking series has once again proven to be a powerful platform for connection and inspiration. Insights, themes and challenges brought out at the Networking events will help shape further Women of Winter Working Group initiatives.
