Published Thu 16 Apr 2026

The Snow Australia Awards celebrate the standout performances and defining moments of our elite snowsport athletes over the past year. Today, we’re proud to honour the 2026 Female Athletes of the Year across the Paralympic disciplines, as nominated by their National Discipline Committees.

These athletes are now nominated for the overall Female Athlete of the Year - Paralympic Disciplines, which will be presented at the Snow Australia Awards on Thursday 23 April in Melbourne.

Para Alpine
Georgia Gunew (guide Ethan Jackson)

Competing in Giant Slalom and Slalom, Georgia Gunew (and guide Ethan Jackson) achieved a season-best result of third place in a World Cup slalom, alongside three top five finishes across their World Cup campaign.

They also made their Paralympic debut, recording impressive finishes of tenth and eleventh against the world’s best. Georgia’s continued progression sees her named the Para Alpine Female Athlete of the Year.

Para Nordic
Lauren Parker

After winning Paralympic gold medals in triathlon and cycling, Lauren Parker made an impressive transition to Para Nordic skiing in her first winter season.

She achieved a season-best World Cup result of eighth, matching that performance at the Paralympic Winter Games, where she competed across four cross country and two biathlon events.

Lauren’s seamless transition earned her the Para Nordic Female Athlete of the Year title.
