Born in Annecy, France, Anthony Huguet spent most of his life overseas before coming to Australia during the 1993 snow season, in a bid to make the Olympic team. 

Two years earlier he had represented Australia at the 1991 Junior World Championships in Norway, placing 9th in the Super Combined and scoring top-20 results in both the Slalom and the Giant Slalom.

In 1994 he was selected to the Australian team for the 1994 Olympic Winter Games at Lillehammer, Norway, where he started in the Giant Slalom and Super-G events. His best result was a 37th place finish in the Super-G.

Huguet competed in three World Cup events over the course of the next two seasons, before retiring from competitive ski racing at the end of the 1995.
