Who is this course for? Mt Buller Ski School and Mt Buller Race Club coaches. May be open to external coaches if places are available.
This workshop is part of the Foundation Coach accreditation, which consists of online education and practical workshops designed for coaches working predominantly at Interschools, club and domestic level in Australia. The full requirements for accreditation are available in the Coach Accreditation section of the Snow Australia website.

All course participants must register for this course via this page. Note: the registration deadline is Sunday 12 July.
Course Fee:
- Free for Mt Buller Ski School employees
(normally $120 for an externally run course)
Pre-requisites:
- All participants must have current Snow Australia membership
(all categories except Snowracer, e.g. Coach Membership, National Racer, International Racer). - All candidates must have completed the relevant Foundation Coach Online Modules
(Introduction to Coaching plus Alpine Fundamentals) - All participants should have APSI Level 2 certification unless approved by the relevant Snow Australia Discipline Committee or Coaching Coordinator.
Candidates are also encouraged to complete the ASC Community Coaching Essential Skills course and the Safeguarding Children and Young People in Sport course on the Snow Academy before attending the workshop.
Course Content/Schedule
The Alpine 1-day course covers the following material:
- Off-ski warm-up/activation
- Freeski warm-up
- Freeski skill development
- GS skill development
- Course safety
The course may also be conducted over several days. The schedule will be communicated directly with registered participants.
Pre-Workshop Webinar/Meeting
Prior to the on-snow workshop all participants may be required to attend a pre-course meeting facilitated by the presenter. Details will be communicated directly to registered participants.
Equipment
Participants should arrive at the workshop with ski equipment ready to head out onto the snow.
