Charlotte Pass Open 2026

The Charlotte Pass Open is the oldest ski race on the KAC Calendar and possibly the oldest continually run ski race in Australia.  Over the past 100 years the race has been run in many forms and in a variety of locations.  The modern Charlotte Pass Open starts and finishes in front of the Kosciusko Chalet at Charlotte Pass and is a 5km loop race around the valley.

The Race is open to all ages and abilities, it is fabulous fun, and a great way to try cross country ski racing for the first time.  Join us for a tasty light lunch and Prize Giving Ceremony at The Lodge, KAC Charlotte Pass after the race.

ENTRY FEES

ALL ENTRIES MUST BE MADE ONLINE 

• Race entries are only permitted online through the Snow Australia website. 
• The race is open to entrants aged 12 years and over.  The entry fee includes a light, fingerfood style lunch served at The Lodge, KAC Charlotte Pass, after the race.
• All entries will include an additional 2% bank transaction fee calulated at registration.
• Lunch only tickets are also available for those more into the party than the ski!!
• Lunch will only be avilable to registered racers and lunch only ticket holders - unfortunately we will not be able to accept unticketed guests to lunch on the day.  
• Entry is conditional upon current a Snow Australia SnowID which includes Snowracer insurance. Please visit Snowracer and click on the REGISTER NOW box for more information.

• ENTRY NOTES:
  • late entries may not include lunch as we have limited catering - updates will be made to the website to advise.
  • On-the-day entries will be accepted via the KAC XC Race Committee but entry will not include lunch.
  • All entries will incur an addtional 2% bank transaction surcharge calculated at registration

PRIZES & PRIZE GIVING

• The post-race presentation and prize giving will be held at The Lodge, KAC Charlotte Pass.  Prizes will be awarded randomly and may include categories by gender, age grouping and magnificence!

TRANSPORT FOR RACERS & SPECTATORS

• Transport for competitors to and from Charlotte Pass for the race may be arranged through the Charlotte Pass Snow Resort Charlotte Pass Oversnow. Spectator transport to and from Charlotte Pass is also available. Please contact the KAC Office by email (admin@kac.org.au) for a PROMO CODE for discounted oversnow rates.

MEDIA CONSENT

By entering the KAC Charlotte Pass Open you grant Kosciusko Alpine Club the right to use, publish, and reproduce my image, name, and race footage in any print, electronic, or digital media for promotional and marketing purposes.
