2026 Snowy Mountains Nordic Rollerski Challenge

Jindabyne Sport & Recreation

Saturday June 6

This fun rollerskiing event is run by Snowy Mountains Nordic in partnership with Snow Australia. The races are open to participants of all standards, including those with only basic experience of rollerskiing.

Events & Schedule

Saturday

  • 13:00 - Registration / Bib Pick-Up
  • 13:30 - Time Trial (distance ~1km agility course)
  • 14:30 - Head-to-Head Races - races of 4-6, no age categorisation.
  • 15:30 - Team Sprint - 2 person teams based upon time trial
  • 16:00 - Presentations

Event Formats

Fun agility formulated events. There are three separate events, starting with a time trial through a ~ 1km agility course. Following this, there is a head-to-head series of races through a free-flowing agility course, categorised solely on results from the time trial. Finally, the team sprint is a fun, supportive event with young and old, fast and slow, paired up (based on time-trial results).

Equipment

Depending on numbers, the intention is to supply all participants with the same rollerskis (SWIX Triac Skates). Just in case, participants should be prepared to supply their own rollerskis for the events.

Registration

All competitors must have a current Snow Australia membership of any category (including Snowracer).

Entry Fees

  • $10 - Open / Masters
  • $10 - U20, U18
  • $10 - U16, U14

Helmets & Safety Equipment

An Australian Standards approved cycle helmet must be worn. Eyewear (glasses) must be worn. Poles should have baskets approved for rollerski racing. Knee & elbow guards are optional.
