Mt Beauty Running Festival

Mt Beauty, 16-18 May 2025

CAMP DETAILS

This VICXC camp in Mt Beauty is a residential camp, including rollerskiing, running, ski-simulation activities and educational sessions. Participants are also expected to take part in 3km, 10km or 18km events of the Mt Beauty Running Festival. 

This camp is primarily for junior athletes aged 15-20. If there is capacity, junior skiers under the age of 15 with suitable fitness and skill level are also welcome with accompanying parents. Parents of interested athletes in this age group should contact Emily Harvey via emilyharvey99@gmail.com. National team members can attend the camp or join sessions at no cost if they are providing their own accommodation. 

Dates: Friday-Sunday, 16-18 May 2025 (Arrival at Diamantina Lodge on Friday from 7pm)
Locations: Mt Beauty
First Session: 9:00am assembly before warm-up for Running Festival events.

- Registered participants will be advised directly about the times for other sessions.
Last Session:  Finishing by 12:00 on Sunday

Accommodation: At Diamantina Lodge, BYO linen. It is not mandatory to stay with the team if you live locally or have other accommodation. There are 15 places available for athletes. Parents interested to stay at Diamantina should contact Emily Harvey.

Catering: Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch & dinner, Sunday breakfast & lunch. Additional training snacks will also be provided but athletes are welcome to bring any other foods they need.

Transport between sessions: Transport will be provided by coaches and designated parent volunteers.

Cost:

Camp Fee - $165 including GST (Accommodation $55, Food $44, Coaching Fee $66).

Free for AUSXC National Team (if no accommodation is required).

Membership: Participants must have current Snow Australia Membership and be registered with VICXC.
Register: Please register by Tuesday 13th of May to confirm your place on the camp.

HEALTH PROTOCOLS

Any athletes exhibiting any cold / flu symptoms should not travel to attend this camp, nor attend any sessions if symptoms develop during the camp. More details will be provided to all participants leading into the camp.
