Competing Overseas - Expression of Interest

Snow Australia remains the single point of entry for Australian skiers and snowboarders competing internationally in FIS sanctioned events (including New Zealand).

New for 2026: Snow Australia Representative Code of Conduct

Before being recognised or supported by Snow Australia at FIS-sanctioned competitions, Coaches and officials must confirm they meet the required standards of conduct, integrity and athlete care. As such all officials must all have an active SnowID and confirm they have read and understood the Declaration and Code of Conduct and agree to meet Snow Australia’s expectations when supporting Australian athletes. Process

If you intend on competing in FIS sanctioned races or competition overseas you must complete and submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).

Your EOI will be reviewed to make sure you meet the pre-requesites to compete.
Once confirmed, your entry will be prepared and submitted to the organisers. You and your coach (if applicable) will be provided a copy of the entry for your records.

Timelines

FIS and Continental Cup events must be submitted at least four weeks prior to the start of the event.
World Cup entries must be submitted to organisers at least 60 days prior to the event.

EOI's received outside these timelines cannot be guaranteed with late entry requests to be considered last.

Quotas and Criteria

FIS and Snow Australia have quota and criteria in place for each discipline and level of competition that must be met.

Coach or Official Representation

All coaches and officials to included on entry FIS entry forms must have an active SnowID and acknowledge the Representation Code of Conduct. See more details below.

Snow Australia Representative Code of Conduct

Before being recognised or supported by Snow Australia at FIS-sanctioned competitions, training camps or related activities, representatives must confirm they meet the required standards of conduct, integrity and athlete care. As such all officials must all have an active SnowID and confirm they have read and understood the Declaration and Code of Conduct and agree to meet Snow Australia’s expectations when supporting Australian athletes. These include acting respectfully and professionally, prioritising athlete welfare, complying with relevant rules and policies, and representing Australian snowsports positively.

Coach Authorisation Letter – Alpine Skiing

To simplify the entry process for FIS level Alpine races internationally, Snow Australia may provide a coach authorisation letter to approved coaches. To apply for this authorisation letter, your Coach must apply to the Snow Australia Office directly (entries@snow.org.au).
