Women of Winter Jindabyne Networking Night a Resounding Success

Published Fri 11 Jul 2025

The recent Women of Winter Jindabyne Networking Night brought together more than 80 participants, marking another successful chapter in the growing Women of Winter initiative.

Launched by Snow Australia, the Women of Winter initiative is designed to champion women across the snow sports industry, fostering greater inclusion, visibility, and support for women pursuing careers in snow sports. The event aims to build a strong, connected community by highlighting female role models, providing networking opportunities, and sharing career stories that inspire and empower.

The Jindabyne networking event, co-hosted by Snow Australia and the Australian Professional Snowsport Instructors (APSI) Advancing Women in Snowsports program, was first introduced in 2022. Since then, it has seen increased engagement, providing a valuable platform for individuals across all areas of the snow industry to connect, collaborate, and learn from one another.

At this year’s event, attendees heard from a panel of inspiring speakers who generously shared insights into their unique career journeys, including the challenges they’ve faced and the lessons they've learned along the way. A heartfelt thank you to the panellists:

  • Nicole Parks

  • Chloe Merry

  • Georgie Leel

  • Isla Marsh

Special thanks also to the dynamic MC Caroline Brauer, whose engaging hosting helped create a welcoming and empowering atmosphere throughout the evening.

Participation in the Women of Winter events continues to grow each year, reflecting an increasing demand for spaces where women in the snow sports industry can come together to share experiences and build professional networks.

The Women of Winter networking series now moves to Victoria, with upcoming events scheduled across key alpine locations:

  • Falls CreekTuesday, July 29 at Attunga Lodge. Tickets on sale now.

  • Mt HothamSunday, August 10

  • Mt BullerThursday, September 4

These events are open to anyone interested in fostering a more inclusive and supportive snow sports community. Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting out, the Women of Winter networking nights offer valuable opportunities for growth, inspiration, and connection.
