Para Winter Sport Update

The Para Alpine and Snowboard Teams are ramping up their fitness training in preparation for the domestic season. Both the Alpine and Snowboard teams will start their seasons in Jindabyne at the NSTC with Strength and Conditioning testing prior to their first block of on snow training on home snow after a hectic winter of training and competition in the Northern Hemisphere.

We are also looking forward to plenty of Para Talent Identification (TID) and development activity planned throughout the season, below are some highlights:

Para-Futures

The Snow Australia Para Futures is a TID initiative by Snow Australia with support from Paralympics Australia (PA) and Disabled Wintersport Australia (DWA). With a vision to enhance opportunities and resources for young and developing para athletes (alpine and snowboard). Part of the Futures event will be an opportunity for National Classification for athletes with a physical impairment. More information will be available shortly.

Interschools Multiclass Events

Multiclass events at Interschools are open for all alpine and snowboard athletes with a disability. More information click here for NSW events and here for VIC events.

• Aug 23: Subaru NSW/ACT/QLD State Championships - Perisher
