Snow Australia is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2026 Community Sport Awards, recognising the individuals, schools, clubs and programs that strengthen and grow snow sports across Australia. 

Now in their seventh year, the Community Sport Awards celebrate outstanding contributions  at the community, participation and pathway levels of the sport. The awards recognise those who inspire participation, foster development, create positive experiences and help build a thriving snow sports community.

This is your opportunity to recognise the athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, schools and programs that have gone above and beyond during the past 12 months.

Award Categories

Nominations are invited across the following categories: 

• Spirit of Interschools Award
• School Snowsports Excellence Award
• Official of the Year Award (Community and Technical)
• Young Achiever Award
• Emerging Talent Program Athlete Awards
• Coach Development Award
• Pathway Excellence Award
• Service to Snowsports

What Are We Looking For?

Nominations will be assessed on the impact, leadership, commitment and values demonstrated by the nominee throughout the nomination period. 

Whether it is:

• A student who embodies the spirit of Interschools
• A school growing participation in snowsports
• An official or volunteer making events possible
• A young athlete making a positive impact on and off the snow
• A coach helping develop the next generation of coaches
• A club or pathway program creating new opportunities
• Or a long-serving contributor who has dedicated years to the sport

We encourage you to share their story and help celebrate their contribution to Australian snowsports.

The nomination period covers achievements and contributions made between 1 November 2025 and 31 October 2026.

Nominations close on Monday 19 October 2026.

Who Can Nominate?

Nominations may be submitted by members of the snow sports community, along with:

• Schools
• Clubs
• Resorts
• Program providers
• Snow Australia committees
• Snow Australia staff 

Please note that only one nomination may be submitted per individual, school, club, pathway program or initiative. Nominations for the Emerging Talent Program Athlete Awards are submitted through Snow Australia only.
