Geoff Greentree presented with 2025 Service to Snowsports Award

Geoff Greentree has been formally presented with the 2025 Service to Snowsports Award, part of the Snow Australia Community Sport Awards, in a fitting ceremony held during the recent Australian Interschools Championships. 

For 11 winters, Geoff served as Club Administrator of the Thredbo Ski Racing Club (TSRC), and played a significant role in delivering major events such as the 2017 and 2025 ANC Alpine Races, while helping drive the club’s ongoing growth and success. Beyond his dedication and expertise, Geoff has long been recognised for his humility and genuine willingness to support others.

His professionalism, leadership and tireless work ethic have benefited athletes, coaches and families throughout the Australian alpine racing community, a community Geoff was quick to acknowledge when accepting his award.

Though he has stepped back from his full time role at the TSRC, Geoff remains deeply involved in the sport he loves. He continues to serve on the Interschools operations team and acts as a trusted mentor to new officials, passing on his experience to the next generation of event organisers and volunteers.

The award was presented at the Australian Interschools Championships Welcome Function at Perisher. The evening provided the perfect opportunity to celebrate Geoff’s contributions alongside many of the people he has worked with during his long involvement in the sport. 

Three previous Service to Snowsports Award recipients were also in attendance: Peter Ward (2025), John Sim (2024), and Leslie Ludwig (2019).

Snow Australia congratulates Geoff on this well-deserved honour and thanks him for his outstanding service, leadership and lasting impact on Australian snowsports and its community.
