Baff breaks through for victory in season opener

Australia’s boardercross team kicked off their season at the Pitztal European Cup overnight, where Josie Baff claimed victory in the women’s event and Lambert secured fourth place in the men’s big final.

With the first of two events cancelled, the Aussies had to wait an additional day to get their season underway and Baff started the best possible way taking out the win in her first competition of the season.
Mia Clift advanced to the small final where she finished sixth, and there were two Aussies in the quarter finals with Abbie Wilson finishing 14th and Amber Essex landing in the top 10.
With Lambert’s fourth overall place, there were three men in the top 10 after James Johnstone raced in the small final and claimed seventh, while Cam Bolton finished ninth.
