6 Months on from Milano-Cortina | Emma Bosco

Emma Bosco went from doubting she would qualify for the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympics to achieving a career-best result, finishing 16th in the Duals Moguls event, just six months ago.
Bosco has had her share of hurdles, including a knee injury in 2020 that kept her off skis for two years. She used that time to rebuild and come back stronger than ever. In 2024, she spent a year training with the Park City Ski and Snowboard team in Utah, USA, an experience that complemented the foundation she had built at home.
Returning to Australia, she carried that momentum into a steady climb through North American Cups, University Games, World Cups and World Championships.
Reflecting on her Olympic debut, Bosco says she simply tried to soak up the whole experience.
“It was pretty incredible. We were there for two weeks, got to compete in singles and then in duals for the first time. It was very cool. I was just so stoked to be there,” she said.
“I think 18 months before the Games, it was looking incredibly unlikely that I would qualify. So I just tried to soak it up as much as I could.”
The University of New South Wales (UNSW) mechanical engineering student is now more motivated than ever to return to the FIS World Cup Tour, feeling real traction and improvement in her skiing, especially since the Olympic Games.
“I’m super excited to get out there. I feel like I've made so much progress over the last year and I'm just excited to keep seeing what I'm capable of.”
Bosco will join the rest of her teammates in Ruka, Finland, in December as the Northern Hemisphere FIS World Cup season begins.
