Futures Fundamental Camp Details
Snow Australia is excited to host the 2026 Futures Fundamentals Camp, a four day development camp held at Falls Creek.
This camp is designed for athletes who have recently learned to ski or snowboard and are ready to build the skills needed to progress into our more advanced camps. The focus is on refining fundamental technique, improving control, and developing confidence on snow in a supportive and structured environment.
The Futures Fundamentals Camp provides a clear pathway for emerging adaptive skiers and snowboarders who want to take the next step in their development and feel confident progressing within the Para Snowsports pathway.
This event is proudly supported by the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) Green and Gold program, Disability Wintersport Australia (DWA), and Paralympics Australia.

Outline of Futures Fundamental Camp

Participants will head to Falls Creek for four full days of skiing and riding, where they will work closely with their instructors in a focused, on-snow environment. Snow Australia and DWA guides will be on hand throughout the camp to provide support, feedback, and progression.
Each day is built around high-quality repetition, skill refinement, and maximum time on snow, giving participants the opportunity to consolidate fundamentals, build confidence, and develop consistency. This camp is about doing the basics well, again and again, and leaving with skills.

Guides:
Athletes with a visual impairment are welcome on this camp. Please note on application and Snow Australia will be in contact to arrage the a sighted guide.
Transport:
Athletes are required to supply their own transport. If you do not have access to transporation, please note on application.
Meals:
Your are required to organise your own food.
Lift Pass:
You are required to organise your own lift pass.
DWA Membership:
You are required to organise your own membership.

Applications close 5 July 2026. Activities will be tailored to each participant, so submitting your application early will help us with planning. Please note, due to high demand, not everyone who applies may receive a spot, but we want to give as many people as possible the chance to experience the Camp! We may also reach out with a few follow-up questions during the selection process.
Please note: The Futures Fundamentals Camp is designed for people who have recently learned to ski or snowboard and aren’t quite ready for our Development Camps yet. It focuses on building core skills, confidence, and consistency on snow, helping bridge the gap to the next stage of your pathway.
