2025 NSW XC Junior & Open Sprint Championships (F)

An individual freestyle sprint race will be conducted near the Sverre Kaaten Nordic Shelter on Saturday 19 July 2025. The course will be determined on race day dependent upon snow conditions and therefore the distance could vary from 400 to 1,200 metres. 

Start Time
Qualification starting rounds will commence at 9:30am. 
Quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals will follow at appropriate intervals.

Race Office
The Race Office outside of the Nordic Shelter will be open from 7:30am to 9:00am on race day.  Race numbers can be collected during those hours.

Online Entries
Online entries will close on Wednesday 16 July 2025 at midnight.  Late entries will be accepted only until 8:00am on race day.

Entry Fee
Juniors - $44   Seniors - $55  All Late entries - $60

Age Groups (age at 31st December, 2025)

MWU12: Born 2014 or later

MWU14: Born 2012-2013

MWU16: Born 2010-2011

MWU18: Born 2008-2009

MWU20: Born 2006-2007

MWOpen: Born 2005 & Earlier

Presentations
Presentations will be held outside of the Nordic Shelter shortly after the event.

Results
Will be posted on the Perisher XC website https://www.perisherxcountry.org/events/results/

Please note all entrants of all ages must have at a minimum a free Snow Australia SNOWID in order to enter most events.

A Sport race licence is required for State and National Junior championships. Snowracer is accepted up to 13 yrs old for the State event at Perisher.

Athletes can update or upgrade their free SNOWID at: Snowracer https://www.snowracer.com.au/home/

Snowracer (identified with your SnowID #) has been implemented by Snow Australia and is an initiative to increase participation for recreational and competitive skiers and snowboarders and is FREE to join. All participants with a current SnowID # are provided with FREE insurance cover while competing in Australia. This insurance is for non-medical expenses to the value of $500 and covers items such as refunds for your entry fee and lift tickets, lost accommodation or car repatriation.
