The FIS 2022 World Junior and U23 Championship for Cross Country Skiing will take place in Zakopane, Poland, between 27 February and 6 March.

Australian Teams are selected by the Snow Australia Cross Country Skiing Selection Committee.

  • Individual (C) 10 km M / 5 km W
  • Mass Start (F) 30 km M / 15 km W
  • Relay (C/F) 4x5 km M/ 3x3.3 km W
  

U23 Events

  • Sprint (F) M/W
  • Individual (C) 15 km M / 10 km W
  • Mixed Relay (C/F) M/W

Expression of Interest & Selection Timeline

  • 27th August – 6th September – Expressions of Interest received
  • September – Expressions of Interest evaluated
  • October – Preliminary athlete selections announced & event deposits due.

Given that access to selection races and FIS events in 2021-2022 was limited for some athletes, the Selection Committee will consider the use of discretion when selecting athletes to teams. In general, some evidence of the capacity to perform at the designated level will be required.
