Steve Cooper

I offer my nomination for re-election to the Snow Australia Board based on a proven history of management, development and leadership involvement within the Australian Snowsports Industry and Community, including:

  • Board Director of Snow Australia since 2010 – current
  • Chair of the Snow Australia National Interschools & Development Committee since 2016 – current
  • Chair of the NTH Snow Australia Interschools Snowsports Advisory Group since 2003 – current
  • Member of the Snow Australia Regional Management Committee since 2005 – current
  • Previous Chair of the NSW Freestyle from 2005 to 2013, and previous National Freestyle Committee member from 2005 to 2016.

In these various roles, I have demonstrated a strong capacity to work with, and/or led teams of people to collectively build on our Sport’s capacity to deliver results and build on the achievements across all the disciplines, from participation to performance levels.

As a Snow Australia Board member, I would continue to build on developing sustainable relationships with supportive industry, government, and/or commercial bodies, with a focus on fostering pathways for emerging athletes at the participation, development and performance levels, along with the re-development of growth opportunities in Snowsports events.
