Snow Australia Coach eNews June 2026

Dear Coach Community,

With the slow start to the winter, it is serendipitous that Snow Australia has released an updated Integrity Education Plan for all members. We encourage all coaches to take the opportunity to review the requirements and renew their anti-doping and integrity e-Learning if they haven't already this year.

This Snow Australia coaching update includes planning for upcoming on-snow coach workshops, information on new courses in the Snow Academy, and a report from the recent Coach Academy live lab. There's also an offer of discounted Airbag group bookings at the NSTC for the next two weeks.

If you have any coaching stories or updates you’d like included in future editions of the Coach eNews, please email coaching@snow.org.au.

Planning underway for Foundation Coach Workshops

Planning is underway for the 2026 coach workshops that form an essential part of the Foundation Coach Accreditation program. Workshops are in the pipeline for Thredbo, Perisher, Falls Creek, Hotham, and Mt Buller this season across the primary four disciplines of Alpine, Freestyle, Snowboard and Cross Country.

Talk with your club or snowsports school about potential dates and discipline workshops being considered for your resort, and keep an eye out for scheduled workshops on the Coach Workshop Calendar:

Education Plan Coaching Requirements

Snow Australia has recently released an updated Integrity Education Plan following a review undertaken in partnership with Sport Integrity Australia (SIA). The Education Plan lays out the required and recommended educational courses for all Snow Australia members in line with the organisation's National Integrity Framework and Anti-Doping policies.

All coaches should be aware of their education plan requirements, which vary depending on the level at which they are coaching. Note that these online courses are primarily integrity-based and are different from the Coach Accreditation requirements, which include sport-specific coach education and practical experience.

More details are available on the Snow Australia website.
