Park & Pipe Coordinator Update - June 2022
  P&P Coordinator Update

P+P Snow Australia Members,

As the first day of winter 2022 arrived so did the snow.

The resorts are looking like a snowy playground once again, and first lifts are turning today Friday June 3rd at Perisher, and some park features are already in...yeeew.

The SnowSale is back over the long weekend, Saturday June 11th, a great event that raises funds towards annual maintenance and upgrading the Action Sports Training facility equipment. Where community, school training and pathway activity is run. It is also a perfect place to pick up a spare board and clothes for use at the NSTC Park airbag this winter (remember no cracks in the skis/board edges!).

Making sure you are bounceable and can take a hit and get back up, hike that rail one last time, and squat out that deep landing is the outcome of the year round physical preparation that snowsports enthusiasts get involved in. Snow Australia has rolled out a SnowReady program this week guided by Sami Kennedy-Sim, to help you be SnowReady. So get around it and check it out online.

Once you have your airbag equipment setup and are physically ready its time to get stuck in and put some tricks down. The first event of the season will be the inaugural NSTC Big Air Comp @ NSTC Park. Being held on July 2-3, the airbags first Big Air Comp is open to all Snow Australia members with registrations now open.

Snow Australia memberships are now Open for Renewal, and we have partnered with Complete Concussion Management to help educate and manage concussions in snowsports.

The judging clinic being run June 16th is also now open for registration so if you want to be involved and support P+P events by Judging please do have a look.

Wax those skis and boards and head out for a slide.

Stay safe, Ride hard

Snow Australia is pleased to announce its partnership with Sport Integrity Australia and the adoption of the National Integrity Framework and associated integrity policies.

This is an important step in protecting our sport and our members from integrity threats like harassment, bullying, abuse, illicit drugs and competition manipulation.

By adopting the National Integrity Framework, Snow Australia now has six new integrity policies which apply to all members. In addition, all complaints about possible integrity breaches will now be managed independently by Sport Integrity Australia, which we hope will ensure people feel safe to speak up about any concerns.
