This Snow Australia coaching update covers planning for upcoming Foundation Coach Workshops, an AIS coach education opportunity, and highlights the latest resources available for coaches.

Planning underway for Foundation Coach Workshops

Planning is underway for coach workshops as part of the Foundation Coach Accreditation program. Workshops are in the pipeline for Thredbo, Perisher, Falls Creek, Hotham, and Mt Buller this season. Keep an eye out for workshop information from your resort.

Applications open for the ASPIRE Coach Development Program

The ASPIRE Coach Program is a 3-day initiative designed to support the development of women coaches who aspire to enter and thrive in the High Performance coaching landscape.

The Program will focus on developing the knowledge and competencies of Australia’s early-career women coaches.

Program Dates: 13 - 15 October 2025 

Where: Australian Institute of Sport, Canberra

The program has been co-designed by women coaches and will be delivered by a leadership team of women coaches. Every applicant who is eligible to apply will become part of the talent pool of women coaches at the bottom of the Leaky Pipeline, so if in doubt, we encourage you to apply!

Applications are open now and close August 4.

The Australian Sports Commission Coaching Podcast returns with a brand-new season, featuring nine weekly episodes released every Wednesday.

This season explores key coaching topics, including how to run effective training sessions, deliver meaningful feedback, and navigate the dynamics between coaches and parents.

Snow Academy is Snow Australia's online education hub providing coaches, along with athletes, officials, and members of the snowsports community, with access to specialised courses, accreditations, and certifications.

Snow Australia members can access the Snow Academy directly via their Snow Australia account as well as view all their completed courses and accreditations. 

There is a range courses for coaches to support the development, education and training of new and current coaches.

Whether you are completing accreditation levels, or interested in upskilling your coaching skills, there is a wide range of courses available on the Snow Academy.

Coaches can complete the following courses on the Snow Academy:

  • Discipline Modules - Alpine / Snowboard / Freestyle
  • ASC Community Coach Essential Skills
  • SIA Safeguarding Children and Young People in Sport Induction

Renew or Register for Coach Membership 2025

Join or renew your membership with Snow Australia for the 2025 season. 

Access to Snow Academy coaching courses requires active membership of Snow Australia as a Coach Member or a similar paid membership category.

Active membership is also required to ensure your accreditations remain active.
